A Miracle at the Tsawwassen Terminal!

Emotions ran high at Tsawwassen ferry terminal as an adventurous cat named Luigi, who vanished during a ferry ride from Vancouver Island, was joyfully reunited with his owner after two long weeks.

This incredible moment was caught on camera, giving everyone a glimpse into the power of love and determination.

An Unexpected Adventure

Luigi, a spirited black and white tuxedo cat, slipped through a small window in his family’s vehicle during a sailing on August 9. Despite an extensive search on board the Coastal Inspiration ferry, he was nowhere to be found.

His worried family reached out to Halo’s Pet Rescue, an organization dedicated to helping lost pets find their way home.

The Search Escalates!

Initial fears surfaced—had Luigi climbed into another vehicle and left the province? Karen Nixon, the administrator at Halo’s, recalled the daunting task of searching the vast ferry without any leads.

"We thought he could be a needle in a haystack," Karen shared. "But we were committed to spreading the word and searching until he was found."
