Infogrames Secures Publishing Rights for Viral Co-op Success Bread & Fred!

NEW YORK, Nov. 04, 2024 – Infogrames, a subsidiary of Atari renowned for its game publishing and distribution prowess, has officially acquired the publishing rights to the co-op sensation “Bread & Fred” in a strategic partnership with Apogee Entertainment. Developed by the creative minds at Sand Castles Studio, the game has captured the hearts of players since its initial release on Steam for PC on May 23, 2023.

The game has received accolades from both the industry and the player community, showcasing its engaging mechanics and charming aesthetics. Following its success on PC, “Bread & Fred” made its debut on Nintendo Switch exactly one year later, on May 23, 2024, broadening its reach to even more gamers. In “Bread & Fred,” players take on the roles of two adorable penguins navigating a treacherous mountain landscape. For those who prefer to play solo, they can navigate the mountain as Greg, using a quirky rope rock companion named Jeff.
