Salman was previously convicted of fraud in 1998, which led to his banishment. Yet, despite this dark past, he returned to Singapore on November 19, 1999, assuming a new identity. His journey of deception didn’t stop there: by 2002, he falsely declared his status to apply for permanent residency, and by 2007, he did the same to obtain Singapore citizenship.
