In a tragic turn of events, a 67-year-old cyclist from Burlington has lost his life following a serious accident in Oakville. The incident occurred last week and has left the community in shock.

According to Halton Region Police, the cyclist was riding westbound on Rebecca Street, just east of Third Line, when disaster struck. At around noon on August 19, a 57-year-old woman driving an eastbound vehicle attempted to make a left turn into the parking lot of South Oakville Centre, previously known as Hopedale Mall, colliding with the cyclist.

From Critical Condition to Heartbreak

The injured cyclist was rushed to a trauma center where he fought for his life in critical condition. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, he passed away on August 22 due to the injuries he sustained in the crash.
