According to Halton Region Police, the cyclist was riding westbound on Rebecca Street, just east of Third Line, when disaster struck. At around noon on August 19, a 57-year-old woman driving an eastbound vehicle attempted to make a left turn into the parking lot of South Oakville Centre, previously known as Hopedale Mall, colliding with the cyclist.
From Critical Condition to Heartbreak
The injured cyclist was rushed to a trauma center where he fought for his life in critical condition. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, he passed away on August 22 due to the injuries he sustained in the crash.
