Prepare to gaze at the heavens like never before! Fall is upon us, and Kenton Dyck from the Pembina Valley Astronomy Club is inviting you to join a thrilling journey through the stars. Grab your gear and get ready for an enchanting season of stargazing as planets align in the night sky!

Join the Fall Stargazing Extravaganza!

The Astro Club kicked off its Fall 2025 season on August 15th, welcoming eager stargazers to its initial event at the stunning Alexander Ridge Park in Miami. "It’s a fantastic spot up on a hill with almost no light pollution," enthuses Dyck, ensuring that the stars will shine bright!

Timing is Everything When Stargazing!

As the nights grow longer, Dyck informs us that stargazing meet-ups will start at 9:30 PM in Miami, shifting to 8 PM by October—perfect for catching that captivating darkness. "For instance, on October 3rd in Altona, that's when the real magic happens as night falls earlier," he explains.

Expanding the Astro Adventure Across Manitoba!

This season, the Astro Club is stretching its wings wider than ever, venturing from Clearwater to Steinbach across an impressive 11,000 square kilometers! Thanks to generous local sponsorships, the club has acquired new telescopes and funded travel expenses—making it more accessible than ever!

Special Events in Winkler and Morden!

Stargazing has never tasted so good! This season introduces paired events in Winkler and Morden, featuring partnerships with local eateries. Full moon gatherings will take place at Charley B’s in Winkler and the Jurassic Clubhouse by the beach in Morden, while dark sky events will be hosted at Dead Horse Cider Co. and Conner Hill Park.

No Major Celestial Events? No Problem!

Although there might not be any monumental celestial happenings on the docket, Dyck is particularly thrilled about the visibility of Saturn’s rings, which are making a stunning comeback. It’s a perfect hook for both seasoned astronomers and curious newcomers alike!

So what are you waiting for? Dust off your telescope, gather your friends, and prepare for a breathtaking fall filled with extraordinary cosmic wonders with the Astro Club!
