Although the fire has not expanded, improved weather conditions have allowed firefighting teams to assess the situation more accurately. Most of the ferocity of the blaze is concentrated on the western and southwestern flanks, yet Premier John Hogan has assured that there’s currently no imminent threat to Victoria or the communities nestled along the Trinity Bay side of the peninsula.
