Wildfire Chaos Rages On

In a devastating turn of events, officials have revealed that a wildfire on the Conception Bay North Shore has obliterated over 200 structures, including homes, as the fire continues to rage uncontrollably across nearly 11,000 hectares.

Fire Situation Update

Although the fire has not expanded, improved weather conditions have allowed firefighting teams to assess the situation more accurately. Most of the ferocity of the blaze is concentrated on the western and southwestern flanks, yet Premier John Hogan has assured that there’s currently no imminent threat to Victoria or the communities nestled along the Trinity Bay side of the peninsula.

Despite some positive changes in weather patterns, officials remain cautious and have not lifted any evacuation notifications or orders, keeping residents on alert as the flames continue to loom.
