A cyclist is in the hospital after a chilling hit-and-run incident in Edmonton, where police say he was intentionally struck by a dark-colored SUV. The horrifying event unfolded at approximately 3:20 a.m. on Monday, August 4, and was captured in a disturbing video recorded by a passenger in the vehicle.

Video Evidence Raises Alarming Questions

According to the Edmonton Police Service, the 41-year-old victim was cycling near 42 Street and 113 Avenue in the Beverly Heights neighborhood when the SUV, driving erratically, collided with him before fleeing the scene. Eyewitness accounts suggest that laughter erupted from the SUV's occupants as the shocking incident took place, highlighting a shocking lack of regard for life.

Acting Staff Sgt. Richard Windover expressed his dismay at the footage, stating, "It’s incredibly disturbing to see such disregard for life captured on video simply for online entertainment." The police have urged anyone who recognizes the voices or can identify those in the video to step forward.
