Jorgen Strand Larsen didn’t hold back in his criticism of his Wolves teammates following a disheartening home defeat against Leeds, a match that further entrenches their position at the bottom of the Premier League.

Despite manager Vitor Pereira signing a new three-year deal, Wolves's performance has been anything but reassuring. After starting strong with an early goal from Vladislav Krejci, they quickly fell apart, trailing 3-1 by halftime thanks to strikes from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anton Stach, and Noah Okafor.

Fans at Molineux were left frustrated, with visible rows of empty seats as the game went on. A visibly upset Strand Larsen questioned his team's mental toughness and decision-making under pressure.

"We’re in a really tough spot right now," he expressed. "Going 1-0 up should be our moment to capitalize, but we let easy goals slip through due to poor crosses and unforced errors. This not only impacts us but affects the fans who come out to support us. We need to change our mentality if we want to salvage this season."

Strand Larsen, who recently rejected Newcastle's interest in favor of a five-year deal with Wolves, acknowledged their talent but emphasized the need for defensive resilience. "Quality on the ball is important, but we also need to win 1-0 or 2-0 instead of conceding. That responsibility falls on all of us," he stated firmly.

Manager Vitor Pereira echoed his star player's sentiments, recognizing that a pivotal win could transform their season. "We need results to boost our confidence and eliminate simple mistakes. I’m still working to find the best balance for our team to perform," he remarked.
