Tokyo Confidential's New Cocktail Menu
Tokyo Confidential has just rolled out an exciting new cocktail menu that pays homage to cats and their significant role in cultures around the globe. The unique menu comes to life through vibrant comic book illustrations, drawing inspiration from the legendary Gotokuji Temple in Tokyo, famously recognized as the birthplace of the iconic maneki-neko, or lucky cat.
Creative Director's Inspiration
Creative director Holly Graham shared her personal journey, stating, "Having lived in Thailand, South Korea, and Hong Kong, I was surrounded by maneki-neko, but it wasn't until I moved to Japan that I discovered their fascinating origins and lore."
Spotlight on Signature Cocktails
Among the standout creations is the C.R.E.A.M - Cats Rule Everything Around Me, an innovative blend of bourbon, mugi shochu, raspberry, coffee, and cream. Additionally, for those who cherish the team’s passion for agave spirits, the Arigato El Gatto offers an adventurous fusion of Mexican and Korean flavors, featuring mezcal, soju, watermelon, and chili, garnished with worm salt, Tajin, and a Shichimi rim.
Neko No Densetsu Menu
Moreover, the new Neko No Densetsu menu builds on the success of Tokyo Confidential's previous baseball-themed selection, Second Base. Loyal patrons will be delighted to find some beloved drinks making a comeback on the Hall of Fame menu, including the Cheung Fun Old Fashioned. This distinct cocktail draws inspiration from the popular Cantonese dish and features an enticing mix of peanut butter and sesame bourbon, soy caramel, and bitters.
