Pimax has officially introduced its flagship Crystal Super VR headset at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, capturing global attention with its stunning 29 million pixel display.

The Crystal Super boasts an impressive resolution of 3840x3840 pixels per eye, making it the first VR headset to achieve retina-level clarity. The headset features advanced glass aspheric lenses that deliver 57 pixels per degree (PPD) at an astonishing horizontal field of view of over 120 degrees, along with a bright output of 280 nits for enhanced visual experiences.

During the event, the Crystal Super DVT2 model (Design Validation Test #2) was showcased, showcasing all primary features with the exception of eye-tracking capabilities. High-profile media outlets, including Linus Tech Tips, CNN, TechRadar, PC Gamer, and others, had the first opportunity to test this innovative headset and praised its groundbreaking clarity, brightness, and expansive field of view.

One standout feature of the Crystal Super is its modular design, which allows for the entire optical engine, panels, and lenses to be swapped out in mere seconds. The QLED version with 57 PPD was demonstrated at CES, with shipping expected soon, while a QLD variant with 50 PPD and a micro-OLED version are also set to be released in the first quarter of 2025.

Additionally, Pimax presented the Crystal Light, a more accessible high-end PCVR headset that has gained popularity among flight and racing simulation enthusiasts. Partners such as Next Level Racing, MOZA Racing, Podium1, and Apevie were on hand to demonstrate its capabilities, showcasing applications in sports training and professional design, including collaboration with Moxi, CAD FORGE, and NEED Immersive Reality.

Completing Pimax's showcasing at CES 2025 is the 60G Airlink, offering ultra-low-latency wireless capabilities for PCVR gaming with the original Pimax Crystal. With a refresh rate now increased to 90 Hz, users can enjoy a seamless experience without sacrificing performance or visual fidelity.

Robin Weng, founder of Pimax, expressed enthusiasm about the launch, stating, "Being at CES provides a unique opportunity to connect with users and witness their experiences firsthand. The overwhelmingly positive reactions to our Crystal Super headset validate our commitment to advancing VR technology to unprecedented levels."

As the VR landscape evolves, Pimax's Crystal Super headset promises to set new standards in virtual reality immersion and clarity, paving the way for future innovations in gaming, training, and design.
