Are We Alone? The Quest for Alien Life Intensifies!
In a stunning leap in the quest for extraterrestrial intelligence, astronomers have turned their focus to 27 eclipsing exoplanets, hoping to uncover the elusive signals of alien civilizations. The Breakthrough Listen (BL) initiative, launched in 2016, is reshaping the boundaries of astronomical discovery and is the largest SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) project to date.
This cutting-edge experiment combines powerful radio observations from the Green Bank Observatory and Parkes Observatory along with visible light data from the Automated Planet Finder. Recently, an international team of experts led by Rebecca Barrett from the University of Southern Queensland has embarked on a groundbreaking study, analyzing data from the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) to find signs of artificial radio signals.
