Can you believe it has already been five years since 'I-LAND' first graced our screens on Mnet? While the winners—Jungwon, Heeseung, Ni-Ki, Jake, Jay, Sunghoon, and Sunoo—shine bright as the sensational group ENHYPEN, what became of the other sixteen contestants? From thrilling new group debuts to exciting ventures into acting, here's a captivating overview of where these eliminated trainees have ended up!

1. Geonu

Geonu reached the final twelve of 'I-LAND' but narrowly missed the final lineup. However, his journey didn't stop there! In June 2021, he debuted as the lead vocalist of JUST B, a boy group under Bluedot Entertainment, and they recently released a special single titled 'Chest.' With a personal Twitter following that exceeds 129,000, Geonu's fanbase is steadily growing!

2. Hanbin

Fan-favorite Hanbin, the Vietnamese contestant, made it to episode 11 before his elimination. Unsure of his future in K-Pop, he left BE:LIFT LAB and joined Yuehua Entertainment, known for their stars like EVERGLOW. His global online fan event in 2020 trended worldwide, and he officially debuted as a member of boy group Tempest in March 2022, recently releasing their Japanese single 'My Way.' He boasts a whopping 735,000 followers on Twitter!

3. Daniel

After finishing in the final twelve, Daniel’s absence has raised eyebrows. Rumored to have switched from Belift Lab to Pledis Entertainment, he was spotted in class at Hanlim Arts School. His surprising return included a cheeky Instagram post and some candid comments about 'I-LAND,' stirring up a mixed bag of reactions!

4. K

K reached the end of 'I-LAND' before being eliminated but persevered to train for over three years. He debuted with HYBE Labels Japan’s boy group &TEAM in December 2022 and even made a cameo in ENHYPEN’s 'Drunk-Dazed' music video. Their latest release, 'Go in Blind,' came out in April this year.

5. Taki

16-year-old Taki was also eliminated shortly before the final lineup, but luck was on his side! He became a member of &TEAM, debuting alongside fellow contestants in December 2022.

6. EJ

One of the earlier eliminations of the show, EJ was confirmed as a member and leader of &TEAM, also appearing in ENHYPEN’s music video. Their werewolf roles hinted at a thrilling concept for the group!

7. Nicholas

Nicholas, the last confirmed member of &TEAM, rounds out the lineup as they debuted in December 2022. They were later joined by new members from the survival show &Audition.

8. Kyungmin

Initially part of &TEAM, Kyungmin parted ways with HYBE due to differing career goals. He’s since opened his own Instagram account but kept a low profile, eventually debuting with 8TURN under MNH Entertainment, with their single 'Leggo' launching in March 2025.

9. Echan (Jaebeom)

Jaebeom, now Echan, opted to pivot from idol activities to songwriting. As part of the group YOUTH, he co-wrote tracks for GHOST9 and Park Jihoon. He made a solo debut with 'Eternal Summer' in 2022 and later participated in Boy's Planet, before stepping back from the limelight.

10. JM (Jimin)

JM debuted with JUST B alongside Geonu, establishing his presence as one of the group’s talented vocalists.

11. Sungchul

Following a period of silence post-elimination, Sungchul burst back into the scene as Ian in the boy group LUN8, debuting in June 2023. Their music video 'Wild Heart' has garnered over 10 million views!

12. Jaeho

Jaeho’s current status remains uncertain. He possesses an Instagram account but hasn't been active since June 2022, leaving fans speculating about his career.

13. Taeyong

Before 'I-LAND,' Taeyong was already making waves in acting, and he is now preparing for a comeback in that realm. Recently, he has been active on Instagram, sharing moments with his girlfriend.

14. Seon

After his elimination, Seon partnered with production team CIELOGROOVE under the name ON. He produced tracks for notable artists and made a solo debut with '24/7' in November 2022, although he's since exited social media.

15. Yoonwon

Though Yoonwon left 'I-LAND' early due to an injury, he made a triumphant recovery and joined THE J, a dance cover group. His choreography for Lady Gaga’s 'Fun Tonight' showcased his talent, but he hasn't been seen in various videos lately, indicating he may have stepped back from the public eye.

16. Youngbin

After his time on 'I-LAND,' Youngbin reemerged with BLANK2Y in May 2022. Sadly, he faced serious allegations in early 2023, resulting in his removal from the group.
