Mars glows with a magnitude of 1.6, though its disk measures just 4”—making it tricky to spot any surface features. But fear not! The Moon, almost 20% illuminated, showcases its beautiful crescent shape, with its eastern limb aglow as the sunlight dances across its surface. Look out for the prominent Mare Crisium in the northeastern lunar landscape—this expansive, dark plain is beautifully contrasted against the Moon’s rugged terrain, featuring notable craters named Picard, Pierce, and Swift, lined up along the mare's western edge.
