Apple Restructures Siri Team

According to a report by Bloomberg, Mike Rockwell, the head of the Vision Pro project, has now taken over leadership of the Siri team. This decision comes after Apple CEO Tim Cook reportedly lost faith in the current AI head, John Giannandrea, regarding his ability to deliver on product development.

Leadership Transition

Giannandrea, who joined Apple in 2018 with the mandate to lead the company's machine learning and AI strategy, will remain with the company and continue to oversee AI research and development efforts. The shift in management has been described as a long-term strategy that was in place before the recent announcement of a delay in Siri's updates.
