As the remnants of Tropical Storm Helene approach the Louisville area this Friday, local high school football games have been forced to reschedule to ensure the safety of players and fans.

A total of ten games initially set for Friday night now have been moved to Thursday, with kickoff times starting at 7 p.m. These matchups include exciting clashes like North Hardin visiting Bullitt East, and Christian Academy facing off against a strong Manual team unbeaten at 5-0.

Here’s a quick rundown of the rescheduled games:

- North Hardin (3-2) at Bullitt East (4-1), 7 p.m.

- Central Hardin (0-5) at Central (2-3), 7 p.m.

- Christian Academy (3-2) at Manual (5-0), 7 p.m.

- Trimble County (0-5) at Iroquois (1-4), 7:30 p.m.

- Jeffersontown (4-1) at Doss (3-2), 7 p.m.

- LaRue County (0-5) at Kentucky Country Day (3-2), 7:30 p.m.

- Lafayette (2-3) at Moore (2-2), 7:30 p.m.

- North Bullitt (3-2) at Seneca (3-2), 7:30 p.m.

- Lexington Christian (3-2) at Shawnee (0-5), 7 p.m.

Additionally, one game was already scheduled for Thursday: DeSales (3-2) at Western (1-4), kicking off at 7 p.m.

The much-anticipated St. Xavier vs. Trinity game is still set for Friday at 8 p.m. at L&N Stadium, though the schools considered shifting this match to Saturday. Unfortunately, L&N Stadium is unavailable due to prior commitments, putting extra pressure on the event.

Athletic director Denny Williams emphasized the importance of safety, stating, “We’re still looking at our options,” as they navigate the imminent storm conditions.
