1880 SOCIAL stands out as a pioneering concept in hospitality, offering open access to the public while maintaining the brand’s luxurious standards. Spanning the first three floors of Two Taikoo Place, it enriches the 1880 family, which already includes private clubs in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Brawa.

The stunning interiors of 1880 SOCIAL have been designed by the award-winning teams at MSDO and AvroKO’s Bangkok studio. Visitors can expect an array of amenities including top-tier restaurants, cozy coffee and wine bars, state-of-the-art gym facilities, a rejuvenating spa, collaborative workspaces, and versatile event spaces.

This ambitious project is the result of a close partnership between Anak and Swire Properties, united by a common vision of crafting a unique brand identity that resonates with the 1880 ethos. Initiated in 2017 for the original 1880 Singapore location, the new branding, name, and identity for 1880 SOCIAL reflect a commitment to fostering meaningful conversations.

“We crafted an identity that represents the vibrant blend of work and play,” said Jeremy Tan, creative director at Anak. “By using creative graphics inspired by musical notes and daily routines, we've captured the rhythm of life that thrives within this innovative space.”

The logo and monogram for 1880 SOCIAL features the iconic 1880 wordmark alongside an abstracted ‘S’, providing a window into an engaging graphical experience that speaks to the essence of social interaction. The brand identity incorporates various modern elements aimed at igniting conversations and inspiring creativity among its members.

With dynamic brand principles that can be applied seamlessly in both physical and digital environments, 1880 SOCIAL promotes an ever-evolving atmosphere where ideas flourish, and communities unite. This includes using playful typography to enhance dialogues and cultivate a lively setting.
