What is NYT Strands?

NYT Strands takes the classic word search to a whole new level! This engaging puzzle is available online and through the New York Times Games app, alongside popular games like Wordle and Connections. Each day, players are presented with a six by eight grid of letters, from which they must identify words related to a specific theme.

The goal is to discover these words and a special word called a spangram, which links two sides of the grid. Unlike the theme words, which are never proper nouns, the spangram can be.
