Major Investigation Underway!

A team of investigators from the Transportation Safety Board (TSB) is set to arrive in St. John’s today to dive into the circumstances surrounding a cargo ship that ran aground in Nunavut a few weeks back.

The Stranded Vessel: Rosaire A. Desgagnés

The ship, named Rosaire A. Desgagnés, was carrying a crew of 25 when disaster struck on August 23rd, as it navigated towards a remote locale to deliver crucial community supplies.

Refloated and Anchored for Assessment

Fortunately, the vessel was refloated during high tide and is currently anchored as experts prepare for a thorough damage evaluation.

Next Steps in the Investigation

Now making its way to St. John’s under its own power, the Rosaire A. Desgagnés will soon be at the center of a detailed assessment by TSB crews eager to uncover the cause and implications of this maritime mishap.
