She explained, "We've reached a point in Daddy's illness where the specific care he needs has changed. It’s important for you to have a home that caters to your needs just as much. Plus, Daddy would want you to enjoy playdates, sleepovers, and a little more freedom. That would bring him joy."

Creating a 'Second Home'

Emma reassured her girls that this new place would be filled with their belongings, transforming it into a comforting "second home" where they could keep toys, crafts, and games. They would have the freedom to visit their dad anytime they wanted.

Despite the affection and consideration behind the decision, Emma admitted it was an incredibly painful moment. "It’s a tough reality to face. Bruce is my husband, and envisioning life without him under the same roof wasn't part of our planned future. It’s hard to grapple with this kind of loss," she reflected.
