In a heart-wrenching incident early Saturday morning, a young man lost his life in a crash that shocked the Edmonton community. The tragic event unfolded around 1:30 a.m. on Anthony Henday Drive, where a wrong-way driver reportedly triggered a catastrophic collision.

Authorities revealed that the crash occurred in the southbound lanes near the Highway 14 overpass. A Chevrolet Cruze struck a light pole and erupted into flames. Bystanders bravely rushed to the scene, rescuing the 23-year-old driver from the inferno, but their lifesaving efforts came too late, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
