A Deadly Drag Race Ends in Tragedy

In a shocking turn of events, a 22-year-old from Mississauga has been charged with multiple serious offenses following a harrowing crash that left one young man dead and another seriously injured.

The Fatal Collision Unfolds

On April 1, the Streetsville area became the scene of a devastating two-vehicle accident. Peel police rushed to the intersection of Erin Mills Parkway and Vista Boulevard after reports of a collision between a blue Mazda 3 sedan and a silver Jeep Cherokee.

According to police reports, the Mazda was speeding northbound on Erin Mills when it slammed into the Jeep that was making a left turn onto Vista Boulevard. The impact was so severe that the Mazda lost control and crashed into a nearby pole.

Tragic Aftermath

Both the driver and his passenger from the Mazda were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Tragically, the 20-year-old passenger succumbed to his injuries, leaving family and friends devastated.

Charges Laid Against the Driver

Investigators revealed that speed was a 'primary factor' in this tragic incident. Authorities have charged Armaan Gill with several offenses, including dangerous operation causing death, impaired operation causing death (due to drugs), racing a motor vehicle, and stunt driving. Shockingly, he was reportedly driving at a whopping 140 km/h in a 70 km/h zone.
