Details of the Incident Emerged
According to reports, officers from the Kingsville detachment, alongside local Fire and EMS teams, rushed to County Road 20, near McCain Side Road, after a collision was reported involving a cyclist and a passenger vehicle.
Tragically, the 43-year-old male cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving the community in mourning. The driver of the vehicle, thankfully, sustained no injuries.
Road Closure and Investigation Underway
As investigators work to piece together the events leading up to the crash, County Road 20 has been closed between McCain Side Road and County Road 23 (Arner Townline). The OPP's West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) unit is taking the lead in the investigation.
