Heartbreaking Accident Strikes Community

In a devastating incident northeast of Calgary, a horrific two-vehicle crash has led to the loss of a woman and her young child, while leaving two other children injured.

Late Wednesday night, around 10 p.m., Mounties in Airdrie rushed to the scene at the intersection of Highway 566 and Highway 9. A northbound Dodge Ram pickup truck collided with a southbound semi-truck, resulting in the pickup erupting in flames.

The 36-year-old female driver from Hanna and her 18-month-old daughter were tragically pronounced dead at the scene, sending shockwaves through the community.
