York Regional Police (YRP) responded to reports of the crimes in the vicinity of Castan Avenue and Sabiston Drive after the victim, a woman, endured a terrifying ordeal in her own home. The first invasion happened around 3 a.m. when two masked individuals reportedly entered her bedroom, unleashing an aerosol irritant on her before stealing her possessions and fleeing the scene.

Details of the Second Invasion

As if that wasn't terrifying enough, mere hours later, at approximately 7:40 a.m., another pair of suspects—described as shorter in stature—forcefully entered the victim's bedroom again. This time, they physically restrained and assaulted her before making off with a significant amount of cash and other valuables in a white sedan.

Victim's Condition and Psychological Impact

Miraculously, the victim only sustained minor injuries, but the psychological impact of experiencing two invasions in one day is sure to linger. Investigators suspect that different groups of suspects are involved in each incident, leading to a total of four individuals being sought.
