Shahla is survived by her devoted husband Dan, her children Jeff and Nicole, along with her beloved siblings, Abbas, Zeeba, and Syeda. She was predeceased by her caring parents, Mehdi Haider Jafri and Surayya Jafry.

From Pakistan to Canada: A Journey of Strength

Born in Pakistan, Shahla's vibrant spirit was evident from a young age. Educated at the prestigious ‘Convent of Jesus and Mary’ in Murree, she excelled academically and athletically—her time there a source of pride.

In 1970, Shahla's journey took her to Canada, where she embraced her new life with resilience. At Simpsons, she not only found a job but also the love of her life, Daniel Delong, and forged lifelong friendships.

A Career Fueled by Passion for Travel

A dynamic career saw Shahla thrive as a travel agent, customer service representative, and flight attendant. Her love for exploration was evident in her lifestyle: always with a suitcase at the door and a new adventure on the horizon.

Shahla’s home was a sanctuary of warmth and joy. With open doors and the irresistible aroma of cooked meals, she loved hosting gatherings that echoed with laughter and music. Every day was an opportunity for celebration in her eyes.

Shahla dedicated her heart to her family. Partnered with Dan, they raised two wonderful children, Jeff and Nicole, who blessed her with five beautiful grandchildren: Liam, Daniel, Audrey, Madeline, and Xavier. Her greatest joy stemmed from nurturing their dreams.
