Attention Patients in St. John's!
Mark your calendars! If you have an upcoming outpatient appointment in St. John's, it’s crucial to double-check your appointment letters. The Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services are announcing a significant shift that could affect where you receive care.
New Ambulatory Health Hub Opening Soon!
Beginning October 21, many outpatient services will transition to the brand new ambulatory health hub at 28 Stavanger Drive. This state-of-the-art facility will host a variety of clinics and services, including the total joint assessment clinic, bariatric optimization clinic, eye clinic, plastic surgery outpatient clinic, endocrine clinic, and more!
What to Expect from the New Facility!
The health hub will not only enhance accessibility but also expand services over the coming months. By December, expect the introduction of blood collection, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, ultrasound services, and the surgery preadmission clinic. Patients can look forward to an MRI service slated to begin in 2026!
Convenience at Your Fingertips!
Worried about parking? Don’t be! The new health hub will offer free parking for both patients and staff, making your visit as stress-free as possible. However, it’s important to note that some outpatient services will continue to be available at the Health Sciences Centre and St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital.
Stay Informed!
With this exciting transition, staying informed is key. Be sure to check your appointment details carefully to ensure you arrive at the correct location. Your health journey is about to get a major upgrade!
