In a remarkable achievement, Niagara Health has garnered widespread recognition from Ontario Health (Trillium Gift of Life Network) for its outstanding commitment to organ and tissue donation over the past five years.

Support and Achievements

In the 2023-24 period, the healthcare institution supported 13 organ donors, which resulted in the donation of 36 vital organs, ultimately saving the lives of 32 individuals. Furthermore, 98 tissue donors were also honored, making a significant impact on the lives of numerous patients in need.

Recognition and Awards

In light of these accomplishments, Niagara Health has proudly received the prestigious Hospital Achievement Award for Provincial Conversion Rate. They exceeded the target conversion rate set by Ontario Health (TGLN), achieving an impressive 68 percent, surpassing the original goal of 63 percent.
