These new infections are predominantly linked to clusters identified in July and August within the Northern Health Zone, with most cases emerging from large households and close-knit community groups.

Risk Level and Precautionary Measures

Despite the rising numbers, Nova Scotia Health maintains that the overall risk to the public remains low, primarily due to high vaccination rates and previous immunity among the population.

Important Exposure Details

The potential risk areas include the emergency department on Sunday, September 7, between 10:45 PM and 1:20 AM, and the diagnostic imaging department on Monday, September 8, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. If you were present at these locations during these times and belong to vulnerable demographics such as pregnant women, the immunocompromised, or children under 12, immediate action is advised.
