Officially announced by the Ministry of the Attorney General, Bhachu's appointment will take effect on May 14, making her one of eleven new judges joining the ranks. Having been called to the bar in 2009, she has amassed a wealth of experience in her legal career.

Bhachu has served as an assistant Crown Attorney in Hastings and Prince Edward counties, where she tackled numerous high-profile cases, including those involving murder, sexual assault, and armed robbery.
