Glitch to Cease Core Services in 2025

In a bombshell announcement from Glitch CEO Anil Dash, users learned that as of July 8, 2025, hosting projects and closing user profiles will become a reality.

But fear not completely! While hosting will be terminated, users will still have access to their dashboards and will be able to download their code throughout the year. Plus, the team is working on an initiative to allow users to redirect their project subdomains, which indicates a glimmer of hope for the future.

However, the platform has already ceased accepting new Pro subscriptions while honoring existing ones until the deadline. In a conversation with The Verge, Dash clarified that the dashboard, app redirects, and code download tools are the only confirmed features that will remain after the cut-off date. 'Anything else that we would have to share would come in a future update, but it’s just that very minimal feature set for now,' Dash stated.
