Get ready, Metro Vancouver! This fall, commuting just got a whole lot easier as transit services expand for 53 bus routes starting September 1. Say goodbye to long waits and cramped buses!
Thanks to the groundbreaking 2025 Investment Plan, this is the most significant increase in bus service since 2018, designed to meet the demands of our bustling city. More frequent services mean less hassle and more options for travelers.
What Routes Are Getting a Lift?
Among the routes spicing things up, key lines to keep an eye on include the 44 to UBC, 143, 145 to SFU, and 245 to Capilano University—all experiencing a resurgence. Improvements also extend to Route 9, now running to UBC on weekdays.
Connecting You to the Heart of the Action!
This expansion will greatly enhance access to major hubs such as UBC, SFU, and popular residential districts in Vancouver, Surrey, Langley, Burnaby, and New Westminster. With shorter wait times and expanded capacity, commuting will never be the same!
Are You Traveling to a Post-Secondary School?
For students and staff heading to UBC, be sure to catch the 14, 44, 49, 68 or the 99 UBC B-Line. If you're bound for Simon Fraser University in Surrey, routes like the 321, 329, and 501 are now better equipped to serve you.

Seasonal Services Taking a Break!
However, with fewer visitors frequenting our scenic outdoor spots this fall, a rollback on seasonal services will occur for 17 routes. Summer favorites like the 42 to Spanish Banks and the 150 to White Pine Beach are set to end on September 1, while the popular Bike Bus wraps up its operations on September 2. Mark your calendars!
