Fans of the franchise will not want to miss this incredible revival available now on the Steam Workshop for Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC!

E3 2003 'EARTH CITY' – A Long-Lost Adventure

The magic of E3 2003 introduced gamers to the thrilling gameplay of Halo 2, captivating audiences with a breathtaking demo set in the war-torn city of New Mombasa—Earth’s frontline battling the relentless Covenant forces. Players step into the iconic armor of the Master Chief, armed with powerful new weapons like the single-shot battle rifle and dual-wieldable SMGs, alongside allies including Marines and ODSTs.

Though unforgettable, this action-packed mission never made it into Halo 2's retail version—until now! During the 2024 Halo World Championship, the Digsite crew revealed their hard work in recreating this revived demo in playable form. With major enhancements in visual fidelity and a much more stable gameplay experience, players can now relive this classic demo as they embark on a mission from boarding a Pelican to outmaneuvering Covenant forces in explosive combat.

ALPHA MOON – The Unfinished Story of the Arbiter

"Assault the occupied control room and find the oracle."

In the original Halo 2, players not only took on the heroic role of the Master Chief but also stepped into the shoes of the Arbiter, a disgraced Sangheili warrior seeking redemption. His daunting task led him to the gas mine of Threshold, where he confronted the heretic leader, Sesa ‘Refumee.

However, what could have been a thrilling finale led to quite a twist in the development timeline. Originally, the Arbiter was meant to chase ‘Refumee to Basis, one of Threshold's moons, culminating in an intense showdown amid the remnants of the Halo ring. Sadly, this thrilling confrontation was left on the cutting room floor due to issues like problematic lightmapping and environmental variations.

Now, this long-lost mission has been painstakingly reconstructed from existing content and is set to go live on November 15. Keep an eye on the Steam Workshop—you won’t want to miss this chance to tackle challenges that were never meant to see the light of day.
