They stated, "We know there’s been a lot of conversation recently about the identity of Call of Duty. Some of you have expressed concerns that we’ve drifted away from what makes Call of Duty unique: immersive, intense, and grounded gameplay. We hear you and we’re committed to addressing these concerns.”

Players worried that Black Ops 7 would follow the trend of quirky skins reminiscent of Fortnite can now breathe a sigh of relief. Treyarch confirmed that all operator skins and weapons from Black Ops 6 will remain behind. The only items transferring over will be double XP tokens and GobbleGums, as the developers understand the importance of player progression.
