Exciting Update for Severance Fans
In an exciting revelation for fans of the hit series Severance, actor and director Ben Stiller has provided some much-needed reassurance regarding the third season.
As the current season approaches its finale after a long three-year wait since its inaugural run, Stiller has eased fears of another prolonged hiatus.
Podcast Confirmation
During a recent episode of the New Heights podcast with NFL stars Jason and Travis Kelce, Stiller confirmed that viewers won't have to endure another extended wait for new episodes.
"No, the plan is not to [wait three years]. Hopefully, we’ll be announcing what the plan is very soon," he said, sparking hope among dedicated fans.
About Severance
Severance, available on Apple TV+, centers around the Lumon Corporation, where employees, including characters portrayed by Adam Scott, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, and John Turturro, undergo a controversial procedure called severance.
This procedure bifurcates their memories between their work and personal lives, leading to a gripping narrative filled with twists and moral dilemmas.
Season Two Challenges
The release of season two faced notable delays, largely due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA and Writers Guild of America strikes.
After a three-year gap since the show's original debut in February 2022, the second season finally premiered.
Stiller discussed the challenges faced during production, highlighting, "It took us a little bit to regroup, and we shot for 186 days on Season 2. Editing took a while, but thankfully, the audience was there when we came back."
Apple TV+ Growth
With Apple TV+'s growing audience since the show's debut, Stiller noted how the situation has evolved.
"When we started out, we were one of the first shows. Now, Apple has more viewers, which makes it easier to bring in new fans."
Epic Season Finale
The finale of season two, titled Cold Harbor, is set to be an epic conclusion, clocking in at a staggering 76 minutes—the longest episode to date.
Despite the lack of official confirmation for season three, the show's immense popularity has created high expectations for its return.
