Now the vice-president of client services at North American Midway Entertainment, Korek has turned his teenage job into a remarkable career spanning thousands of events across North America, including the iconic Canadian National Exhibition (CNE).

His extensive experience at the CNE has also led him to understand the impact of signature foods on fair culture, such as the classic CNE ice cream waffle, which has set a precedent for fairs everywhere to create their own must-have treats to attract crowds.

For Korek, every day at work is filled with excitement. "I step out of my office and there are a million photos waiting to be captured," he shares, expressing the thrill of being surrounded by the vibrant energy of the midway. "Taking a bad photo of the midway is almost impossible." Thus, through his lens, Korek continues to immortalize the joy, thrill, and nostalgia that define the CNE.
