
19-Year-Old’s Wild Joyride Ends with a Multivehicle Crash in Calgary!

In a shocking turn of events early Friday morning, a 19-year-old driver has been charged after a reckless drag race caused havoc on Calgary's streets, damaging multiple parked cars.
At around 2:10 a.m. on August 8, 2025, a grey 2018 BMW M5, reportedly blazing down Macleod Trail S.W. at alarming speeds, was on the run from police during a traffic stop.
Witnesses say the young driver attempted a hasty turn onto 58 Avenue S.W. but lost control, plowing into the rear of a stationary vehicle. The impact sparked a catastrophic chain reaction, damaging seven parked vehicles along the street.
The driver, identified as Kane Anignostis Burrows, faces serious charges, including two counts of impaired driving and two counts of failing to comply with a release order. He’s set to appear in court Monday, August 11, 2025.
