Zouk Nightclub's Legacy Continues with New Lease

SINGAPORE – Zouk Singapore, the heartbeat of the nation’s nightlife since 1991, has officially secured a lease extension that will keep the beloved venue alive until 2031. The extension comes from CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust and will kick off in June 2026, just after the current lease wraps up in May 2026.

Nestled in River Valley Road, Zouk has become synonymous with exciting nightlife experiences, acting as the cornerstone of Clarke Quay's entertainment scene.

Exciting Changes Ahead!

Andrew Li, the visionary CEO of Zouk Group, has revealed that while the lease terms for operating hours remain unchanged, there are plans to ramp up activity at several of their venues. Expect more operating days and extended hours, enhancing the nightlife experience for all.

Zouk itself houses three unique spaces: the flagship Zouk, the chic Capital designed for working professionals, and Phuture, a haven for the younger crowd.

Innovative Strategy Amidst Industry Changes

Looking ahead, Li envisions an exciting overhaul involving renovations and new offerings. By integrating food and beverage experiences alongside live performances, Zouk aims to create fresh revenue streams while elevating the guest experience.

This strategy highlights Zouk's adaptability to the shifting landscape of nightlife in Singapore, where high operational costs, an increase in sober experiences, and the evolving tastes of Gen Z are influencing the industry.

Zouk's Best Year Yet

In a previous statement to The Straits Times, Li noted that Zouk experienced its most successful year in 2022, fueled by a wave of post-Covid-19 partying. However, the momentum has slowed in the subsequent years, prompting the venue to innovate.

An Evolution in Motion

To stay ahead, Zouk has enhanced its music and event programming, bringing in international superstars like American DJ Illenium for sold-out shows. This evolution mirrors the broader transformation of Clarke Quay, which recently underwent a $62 million rejuvenation to become a thriving day-and-night destination.

In 2016, Zouk made a significant move to its current location, marking a new chapter in its illustrious history. With the new lease set to take effect, the excitement surrounding Zouk's future only grows.
