Public Alert from NDP 2025 Exco!

SINGAPORE - The National Day Parade (NDP) 2025 executive committee (Exco) has issued a crucial announcement: they will NEVER solicit cash or personal information over the phone! This warning comes as scammers aggressively impersonate NDP representatives, targeting unsuspecting individuals and organizations.

Scammers Are Calling You!

On June 28, the NDP 2025 Exco took to their official Facebook page, NDPeeps, to inform the public about this alarming trend. Fake callers are reaching out, asking for sponsorships and sensitive details under the guise of supporting the upcoming parade.

A shocking audio clip shared by the Exco revealed a scammer attempting to trick a man into providing a "small sponsorship" of $300 to $500, claiming it was tax-exempt and would help ensure the success of the 2025 event.

Don't Fall for Their Tricks!

During the call, the scammer even promised an award for the man's company and encouraged him to invite family and friends to the parade. When asked about the organization receiving the funds, the fraudster vaguely mentioned the "Singapore National Day board committee." This is clearly a red flag!

Report Scams Immediately!

If you receive such a call or are uncertain about its legitimacy, the NDP Exco urges you not to disclose any personal or financial information. Instead, reach out to them directly at ndp@defence.gov.sg for verification.

In case you fall victim to these scams, report them to the police right away.

Mark Your Calendars!

Don't forget that the grand NDP celebration is set for August 9 at the iconic Padang and Marina Bay. Let's make sure our celebrations are not overshadowed by deceit!
