Exciting Cashback Offer for Hawker Meals!

Attention Singapore! Your favorite hawker centre meals are about to get a whole lot cheaper, thanks to the DBS PayLah initiative! Enjoy up to $3 cashback when you dine at over 22,000 participating hawker stalls and heartland shops—this incredible offer is designed to help alleviate living costs for all.

Support for a Cherished Tradition!

Launching on July 12 and running through September 27, this initiative is part of a larger $23 million celebration marking Singapore's 60th birthday. Every Saturday, the first 160,000 diners who use PayLah will reap rewards, supporting both the local economy and cherished hawker traditions.

Government and DBS Team Up for Community Aid!

At the launch event at One Punggol Hawker Centre, Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong highlighted that rising living costs have long been a concern for many Singaporeans. He emphasized the importance of community programs like this one and shared about the distribution of CDC and SG60 vouchers to provide financial relief.

Vouchers Galore for All Ages!

As part of the efforts, Singaporean households received additional CDC vouchers worth $500 earlier this year, with another $300 set for January 2026. Seniors aged 60 and above can claim SG60 vouchers worth $800, while those aged 21 to 59 can claim $600 starting July 22.

DBS Paving the Path for Community Support!

DBS has previously disbursed a whopping $14 million in cashback via PayLah, with approximately 40% of beneficiaries being senior citizens or low-wage earners. According to DBS Singapore's country head, Lim Him Chuan, this campaign aims to give back and strengthen community ties.

Additional Perks for the Community!

In addition to cashback offers, this $23 million initiative includes perks like free Nets terminal subscriptions for heartland merchants and nutritious meal distributions for lower-income seniors. Starting in August, seniors can also enjoy free gallery tours and art programs every weekend!

A Win-Win for Diners and Hawkers!

Local stall owners have already noticed an uptick in business in response to the cashback scheme. For instance, Botak Cantonese Porridge reported serving 40 more customers on Saturdays when the cashback was active last year. Stall manager Chong Wei Jun noted the initiative not only increases foot traffic but also promotes awareness about their operational hours.

Join the Fun This Weekend!

So, whether you're grabbing a quick meal or spending quality time with family, the DBS PayLah cashback initiative is a fantastic opportunity to indulge in Singapore's vibrant hawker culture while enjoying massive savings. Don't miss out!
