Vietnam's Urgent Evacuations

In a bold move, Vietnam is set to evacuate over half a million citizens from coastal provinces like Thanh Hoa, Quang Tri, Hue, and Danang. The government has called for all residents in the danger zone to remain indoors starting late Sunday afternoon, with soldiers on standby ready to assist.

Transport Shut Down and Flights Canceled

As a precaution, seven coastal provinces have banned boats from venturing out to sea. Vietnam Airlines has already canceled 22 flights to and from central cities, while Vietjet Aviation has also announced disruptions.
