Chiam, who was allegedly operating a carpooling service via a Telegram group chat, was behind the wheel without a proper Class 3 Driving Licence. This alarming detail came to light during the coroner's inquiry into the death of 21-year-old Michael Ong Wee Siong, who was seated in the front passenger seat at the time of the accident.
