The accident occurred around 6:50 PM on October 21, at Block 413 Yishun Ring Road.

According to reports from the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), the worker, who was a national from China, was in the process of pushing a steel gate frame when the unfortunate accident took place. Emergency responders rushed to the scene, and the worker was promptly transported to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
