Vulnerable road users, particularly elderly pedestrians aged 65 and above, are increasingly at risk, with fatalities among them spiking by an alarming 150%, from just six in the first half of 2024 to 15 this year.

In other sociocultural developments, a recent study by the Institute of Policy Studies indicates a marked decline in negative attitudes toward gay sex and marriage in Singapore. The IPS study surveyed 4,000 citizens and permanent residents, reflecting a significant shift towards more inclusive attitudes.
