A recent dining experience at Genki Sushi in Tampines Mall turned chaotic when a toddler’s mischievous behavior left diners appalled. The incident occurred on July 7 around lunchtime, sparking outrage among patrons.

Witnesses, including a notably upset diner known as Sushi Lover, criticized the child’s parents and grandparents for allowing such reckless behavior. The little one was seen climbing onto sofas, causing disturbances at nearby tables, and even standing on the counter with dirty shoes while reaching for the sushi train.

"This is an example of why some people shouldn't be parents," the frustrated diner exclaimed. She recounted how the toddler's antics turned what should have been an enjoyable meal into a nightmarish experience. "It felt like dining amongst wild monkeys. Horrible!"

Upon witnessing the chaos, the diner immediately alerted a staff member. Fortunately, the restaurant manager intervened, placing the child in a baby chair to ensure safety and hygiene.

However, concerns lingered. The diner questioned whether any cleaning took place after the child’s dirty antics near the sushi trains, expressing discomfort over the situation.

In response to the uproar, Genki Sushi acknowledged the incident, explaining that the restaurant was particularly busy due to the Youth Day school holiday. A spokesperson stated that a staff member had promptly addressed the situation with the child’s guardian.

The spokesperson assured customers that after the child left, the table area underwent thorough sanitization to maintain cleanliness and safety for future diners.
