As the countdown to the Nintendo Switch 2's launch ticks down to just a month, excitement is brewing despite ongoing debates around pricing and tariffs. Among the companies feeling bullish about the new console is Take-Two Interactive.

In a recent Q&A session with investors, Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick expressed his unwavering optimism for Nintendo's upcoming platform. He highlighted a significant evolution in Nintendo’s approach towards third-party publishers, noting, "We're launching four titles with Nintendo Switch 2, which is the largest lineup we've ever presented for a new Nintendo system."

Historically, third-party support for Nintendo has been a rocky road. However, Zelnick reassured investors that Nintendo has made substantial progress in creating a more inviting environment for these partnerships. He commented, "Nintendo has been very forthcoming in addressing the challenges third parties face, and we believe there are exciting opportunities ahead."

Take-Two is set to deliver some blockbuster titles at launch, including the eagerly awaited Civilization 7 on June 5, alongside entries from the NBA 2K and WWE 2K franchises, and Borderlands 4, scheduled for September 12. While these franchises are familiar faces on the Nintendo Switch, Zelnick’s enthusiasm hints at a bright future for collaboration between Take-Two and Nintendo.

Though titles like Grand Theft Auto VI may not be on the immediate horizon, the potential re-release of established hits like GTA V and others from Take-Two’s robust catalog remains tantalizing.

Prior to the Q&A, we had an exclusive conversation with Zelnick about GTA VI’s development timeline and insights on the game's delay to next year, hinting at ambitious plans for the franchise.
