When I saw the laughter, I truly believed it was out of admiration, not mockery!' Andie chuckled, although now he feels differently about that moment. 'Looking back at that clip... it's cringeworthy! I really had no idea what I was doing!' he confessed.

Despite what some might consider a shaky performance, Andie Chen took home the coveted Star Search trophy, a S$25,000 cash prize, S$4,000 worth of products, and a two-year contract with Mediacorp. However, he expressed his disappointment in missing out on the new car prize, jokingly lamenting, 'Yes, I didn’t get a car. I guess that makes me pretty suay (unlucky)!'
