In a thrilling space endeavor, SpaceX has successfully launched another wave of its Starlink broadband satellites, sending 24 new units into the cosmic expanse from California's picturesque central coast on August 30.

The Falcon 9 rocket roared to life at 12:59 a.m. EDT (3:59 GMT; 9:59 p.m. local time on August 29) from Vandenberg Space Force Base, proving yet again that SpaceX's innovation knows no bounds.

As the rocket ascended, its first stage, affectionately known as Booster 1082, gracefully returned to Earth, landing perfectly on the SpaceX drone ship "Of Course I Still Love You" just 8.5 minutes post-launch. This marks an impressive 15th successful jaunt for this particular booster, showcasing SpaceX’s commitment to reusability.

But wait! While that’s a remarkable achievement, it pales in comparison to SpaceX's record for booster reusability, which stands at 30 launches—achieved just two days prior on another Starlink mission.

With everything going according to plan, the Falcon 9’s upper stage is anticipated to deploy the 24 Starlink satellites into a low Earth orbit approximately 62.5 minutes after liftoff.

Today’s launch marks the 107th Falcon 9 flight thus far in 2025, with over 70% of these missions geared toward expanding the Starlink megaconstellation. This ambitious project holds the title for the largest collection of satellites ever, now boasting over 8,200 operational satellites, and the numbers continue to rise.

Stay tuned as SpaceX continues to revolutionize global internet access, one satellite at a time!
