He likens the experience to 'walking through a room blindfolded, trying to discern different voices and find your way from point A to point B.' This skill is vital in avoiding potential maritime hazards.

Shortening the Qualification Duration

In light of the increasing demands of submarine operations, Colonel Fong Chi Onn, commander of the seventh flotilla fleet, expressed the navy's desire to shorten the qualification duration. 'Submarines are compact, and training requires available onboard time, which is limited given the existing crew's presence,' he explained.
