In a startling incident, a gunman allegedly attempted to assassinate Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on September 15 at his golf course in Palm Beach, Florida, according to authorities.

Law enforcement officials have named the suspect as Ryan Wesley Routh, a 58-year-old resident of Hawaii.
