Professor Kamlesh Khunti from the University of Leicester echoed this sentiment, stressing the importance of effective cardiovascular health management for diabetics, noting that many patients still lack essential care.

The time for political action is now, to ensure that no more lives are prematurely lost due to diabetes-related complications. NHS England has yet to respond to these urgent calls for improvement.
